Kairos Groups/Huddles

The time (kairos) has come, The Kingdom of God is right here, repent and believe the good news (Mark 1:15)

Kairos (Greek) is a moment in our lives where God’s kingdom breaks into our Kronos (timeline). We meet in Kairos groups to take note of the ways God is breaking in weekly, decide what we’re going to do about it, and partner together in accountability.

KAIROS GROUPS

STRUCTURE

  • 3-5 people per group
  • Form groups within your MC for life-on-life interaction

  • Integrate it into your life in a healthy and sustainable way (i.e. breakfast, lunch, walk, workout)

FIRST 4 WEEKS

  • When your group first forms, start with sharing and receiving everyone’s Gospel Story (use template provided)
  • Make a commitment together to read scripture to invite kairos moments
  • Make a commitment to learn and use the entire Learning Circle during the meeting time
  • Make a commitment to invite others into the group and multiply when you get to 4 or 5

KAIROS GROUP TIME

  • Pray before you begin, end, and anytime you get stuck
  • Briefly ask your Kairos partners about their action plans from the previous week (accountability)
  • Use the Learning Circle (on this bookmark) to guide your kairos meeting time together (10-15 min per person)
  • Discipline yourself to make SMART goals and follow-up to see life change
  • Make sure your shared MC Mission is a regular part of your kairos processing
